Is your right to study about to expire, and are your studies still incomplete?

If your right to study is set to expire on December 31, 2024, and you intend to continue your studies thereafter, you must apply for an extension by October 31. You can check the duration of your right to study in Peppi. Detailed instructions for applying for an extension can be found at https://www.oulu.fi/en/applying-for-extended-study-period

Applications submitted by the deadline will be processed in such a way that there will be no interruption to your right to study.

Please note that due to the change in the universities' fee regulation (Government Decree 199/2024, 4 §), universities will charge a fee of 50 euros for processing applications for the continuation of the right to study starting January 1, 2025.
