Medical retina and uveitis

Our several research projects combine the broad expertise in clinical ophthalmology (principally diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and uveitis), ophthalmic imaging, and biomedical engineering (artificial intelligence) to evaluate epidemiology, etiology, risk profiles, treatment outcomes and utilization of novel technologies in eye diseases. The results would benefit the development of new strategies to prevent visual impairment and to target health care resources reasonably at the population level.
