I work as an Associate Professor of spatial resilience research methods in the Geography Research Unit. I conduct transdisciplinary environmental research utilizing geospatial, remote sensing and other methods. Large part of my work concentrates on developing, combining and applying various methods to study different research tasks related to the environment. My research has concentrated on, for example

- Risks related to water and climate
- Social-ecological resilience
- Remote sensing of vegetation and land cover
- Monitoring peatland restoration outcomes
