Doctoral Researcher
Water, Energy and Environmental Engineering
Faculty of Technology
I am a doctoral researcher in the Water, Energy, and Environmental Research Unit (WE3) at the University of Oulu. My research focuses on understanding the impact of anthropogenic and climatic drivers on river alteration, particularly how these factors affect river ecosystems and biodiversity across different climate systems. I hold a Master’s in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Tabriz, Iran, and a B.Sc. in Water Engineering from the Isfahan University of Technology. After receiving my M.Sc., I gained valuable insights into various water management approaches during my ten years of work in Iran's water sector (Isfahan Regional Water Authority). My academic journey is fueled by a passion for hydrology and water resources, with a specific focus on studying river flow regime alterations, understanding their causes and effects, and advancing sustainable water resource development. In addition, I explore topics related to extreme events, river engineering, and the application of remote sensing techniques in hydrology and water resources.
