Fully-integrated hydro(geo)logical modelling
Water, Energy and Environmental Engineering
Faculty of Technology
My research focuses on using fully-integrated physically-based modelling to study boreal hydrological processes in various environments, mostly in semi-pristine boreal landscape but also in agricultural lands. I am particularly interested in groundwater-atmosphere interactions with soil unsaturated processes as crosslinking agents. In my research, I aim to incorporate a critical zone approach. I work closely with other geoscientists to reveal the role of water fluxes in the boreal carbon cycle and peatland development with the aid of hydro(geo)logical modelling.
