Doctoral researcher
I work as a visiting researcher at Police University College of Finland. My work is funded by the Kone Foundation. I study encounters between police officers and citizens from an interactional and linguistic perspective. My goal is to describe how police officers use language as a tool to maintain public order and security or respond to emergencies. My research data consists of video recordings and retrospective interviews.
My areas of interest include institutional interaction and language teaching.
