Asta Salmi

I am a Professor in Sustainable Business at Oulu Business School. My research focuses on business networks and their dynamics, cross-sector collaboration, and sustainable supply chains. Most recent research concerns biodiversity: firms’ involvement in cross-sectoral work on advancing biodiversity preservation and related ongoing systemic changes.

As a Program Director for ‘Innovative Materials and Services to Promote Resource Wisdom and Sustainable Development (IMPRES)' (a program funded by the Strategic Research Council, Academy of Finland), I promote multidisciplinary research and cross-program activities for societal impact.

My research has been published in e.g., Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management Studies, International Business Review, Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management and Industrial Marketing Management, and I am a Senior Associate Editor of Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management.
