I am a doctoral researcher in archaeology. My research focuses on the human-animal and human-landscape relationships and worldviews in the Iron Age communities in North Savo and North Karelia. I am interested in human-animal relations, how hunting was part of the worldview, and how Iron Age people perceived ancient remains as part of the landscape. I am also interested in how archaeological knowledge and methods can be applied to forest and biodiversity conservation and policy.
