Emilia Piki is a doctoral researcher in the group of Professor Daniela Ungureanu (Precision oncology in ovarian cancer, University of Oulu) and a visiting researcher at FIMM (Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland, University of Helsinki). Her recent projects focus on understanding drug responses in high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC), and utilizing ex vivo cell models in translational oncology. Her research interests include the development of advanced 3D organoid and spheroid models for cancer research, as well as the application of informative staining techniques, as multiplexed-IHC staining. Emilia obtained her Master's degree from the University of Helsinki, in Genetics and Molecular Biosciences, with a specialization in Cell Biology.
