Emma Karjalainen

I am a PhD student in ECM and Hypoxia research unit and I work in Johanna Myllyharju´s group.

My PhD project concerns investigating the individual roles of collagen prolyl hydroxylase isoenzymes in the synthesis of collagens, cell behavior and development. In my work I use biochemical, molecular biology and cell biological methods and also mouse models.
