Doctoral researcher
I work as a doctoral researcher at the Geography Research Unit of the University of Oulu. My doctoral research focuses on the increasing militarism in the context of Sápmi, and it is part of the project “Militarised Indigenous Borderscapes: Reconfiguring geographies of war and borders”.
In my research, I am interested in colonial continuities, decoloniality, state theory as well as feminist theories and resistance. My background is interdisciplinary, and I have a master’s degree in gender studies from the University of Helsinki and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Freie Universität Berlin.
