I study healthcare professionals' digital health competence. Healthcare professionals are in an important role when digital health services are deployed and developed. Digital services and tools have increased significantly in healthcare which reflects to healthcare professionals' roles, responsibilities and competence.

In my dissertation I describe and assess health care professionals' digital health competence and factors associated to their competence in different healthcare settings. The aim of the research is to discover the means to support healthcare professionals' digital health competence growth to increase adoption of digital health solutions in practice.

Additionally I work in a joint OSMU - Competent workforce for the health cae and social services sector -project as a representative from University of Oulu. The aim of the project is to develop a competence procedure model in the health care area of Oulu University Hospital. The piloting phase is carried out in the area of stroke clinical pathway.
