I am Getnet Demil, a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Oulu, Finland, where my work centers on the application of artificial intelligence and remote sensing technologies in hydrology modeling.
I hold a triple Master’s degree in Image Processing and Computer Vision, earned through a collaborative program involving the University of Bordeaux (France), the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain), and Pazmany Peter Catholic University (Hungary), completed between 2022 and 2024. Additionally, I earned an MSc in Communication System Engineering (2020–2022) and a BSc in Electrical Engineering (2013–2018) from Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia.
My research explores the integration of advanced image processing, computer vision, and deep learning techniques to address challenges in hydrological data analysis and environmental modeling.
I aim to contribute to the development of robust methodologies for water resource management and climate change adaptation. My academic and professional efforts are guided by a commitment to advancing scientific understanding through interdisciplinary approaches.
