Haile Mekonnen Fenta
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oulu, working on the "Data4HealthCare" project 2024-2027. I am an experienced statistician, with over 15 years of experience working in the field. I have a strong background in big data analysis, statistical modelling, and predictive analytics, as well as excellent communications and presentation skills. I am a member of the International Statistics institute, member of Biometric Society, Member of Ethiopia Statistics Association, Member of Ethiopian Public Health Association. I have 12 years teaching experience at Bahir Dar University/Ethiopia and teach courses in Spatial Analysis, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Multivariate Data Analysis and Longitudinal Data Analysis.
Research interests
- Applied statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, spatial/spatiotemporal, machine learning and infectious disease modelling at the individual and population level.
