Hanna-Maija Huhtala

Hanna-Maija Huhtala, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oulu, received her PhD from the University of Eastern Finland in May 2018. In her postdoctoral research, Huhtala argues for a non-ideal theory of education. Huhtala served as an editor-in-chief of Kasvatus ja Aika (Finnish journal of education) from 2021 to 2024. She is a long-term board member of the Finnish Society for History and Philosophy of Education (FSHPE, SIG-group of the Finnish Educational Research Association), which she chaired from 2017-2021. She has also gained experience in organizing both national and international conferences. Since the beginning of her academic career, she has published regularly in the main journals of her research field.
