I am a university teacher and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oulu, working in the medical technology and health sciences research unit. My research primarily focuses on preparing children and their parents for day surgery using various technological solutions such as mobile applications, robots, and artificial intelligence. I am particularly interested in finding effective ways to address the individual and developmental needs of families with children to reduce pain and fear in children and anxiety and stress in parents during the day surgery pathway.
