I work as a doctoral researcher in the Physical Geography Research Group. I am interested in the diversity of non-living nature, i.e. geodiversity. In my dissertation, I study plot-scale geodiversity and its importance for biodiversity and land management. For example, I look at the connection between plot-scale geodiversity and the vegetation of Northern mountain heaths, I map the geodiversity in different environments and I study how humans affect geodiversity at the local level.

Research interests

  • Geodiversity
  • Geodiversity and biodiversity relations
  • Geodiversity assessment
  • Northern regions
