Ivan Lopushenko is a PostDoc in light scattering simulations at the Biophotonics group, Optoelectronics and Measurement Techniques Unit, ITEE, University of Oulu since 2020. He received doctoral degree in physics and mathematics from Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russia in 2019 for the development of semi-analytic numerical models in electromagnetic scattering and nonlocal nanoplasmonics. His research interests are rooted in mathematical physics and involve different aspects of scattering-related problems, from the fundamental level to the implementation of relevant high-performance numerical tools which would provide in-depth insights into physical processes and foster technology development in a wide range of knowledge areas: from biosensing and radiative transfer to mesoscopic electrodynamics and quantum state tomography.
