Jani Sinokki is an academic philosopher working on René Descartes’ (1596–1650) metaphysics of mind, contemporary philosophy of language, and philosophy of race & racism. He is also interested in critical thinking and argumentation theory, which he has taught for several years.
Sinokki is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Academy of Finland funded project Thick Subjects: A Reconsideration of Early Modern Views of the Self. In this project his work focuses on certain themes in the Cartesian tradition besides Descartes’ original works.
