Faculty of Technology
Academy of Finland post-doctoral research fellow at the Water, Energy and Environmental Engineering Research Unit at the University of Oulu, Finland. He received his PhD in 2016 from the University of Oulu in Energy and Environmental Engineering with his work on dynamic environmental indicators for energy system optimisation. His research interests lie in sustainability assessment, energy system and smart buildings modelling, especially optimisation problems in the context of smart energy networks under climate change constraints. Lately, his research focused on including environmental impact indicators in energy system model optimisation and a NEXUS optimisation of the cross-sectorial energy network. He has worked in POLES and EUCAD/EUTGRID model for the development of a pan-European power network model for the investments in power lines reinforcement and dispatch power technologies. Before carrying out academic research, he has spent few years as an R&D engineer in the heat pump industry. He received his engineering degree in energy and environmental engineering from Napier University of Edinburgh in 2008, and University of Oulu in 2012
