Research group description
The group works on sustainable and carbon neutral energy systems. Within this, we do research on decarbonising the energy system and the environmental impacts of energy transition. A special attention is on Arctic environmental conditions, including the impacts of climate change on energy demand as well as renewable energy generation.
The main research themes of the group are divided into three sections. These themes are presented in detail below:
Staff of the research unit is responsible for teaching of several courses in the Environmental technology study programme. The group is in charge of the teaching given in Sustainable Energy Systems -programme and researchers of the unit supervise bachelor's theses on energy, waste management and sustainability.
