I have a background in ecology, hydrology, and biology, with a particular interest in plant water use strategies. My current focus is on forest ecohydrology, expecially on tree (root) water uptake in boreal forests. By combining in situ water isotope monitoring with continuous sap flow measurements, I aim to better understand water movement during root water uptake at frequent and finer scales. This research elucidates the interactions between soil water and root water uptake. My study is part of the project "BFF-WATER" (Boreal Forest Water Fluxes under Changing Rain-Snow Seasonality), which aims to provide important insights into predicting large-scale responses of ecohydrological processes to changing snow and rain patterns in boreal forests.
