Jouni Karjalainen
PhD Jouni Karjalainen studies molecular and cellular-level mechanisms contributing to magnetic resonance images. For this work he uses computational modeling at multiple scales, from atomistic molecular dynamics simulations to finite element analysis. The aim of the work is to create new diagnostic tools for e.g. diseases affecting cardiac conduction system and articular cartilage.
