Juho Sirviö

Docent Juho Sirviö work as researcher in the cellulose team in the Fiber and Particle Engineering Research Unit. Focus of the study is on the chemical modification of lignocellulosic materials using green methods including oxidation chemistry and utilization novel solvent systems, such as deep eutectic solvents. Chemical modified lignocellulose is studied especially for production of nanocelluloses. Chemically modified nanocelluloses are studied in as functional materials in composites, high strength barrier films, and biochemical.
