Events such as pandemics and financial crises pose unique challenges to businesses. Long term sustainability necessitates that organizations can not only cope with their every day challenges, but also rare but severe times of crises. My research aims to discover analytical methods for decision making that equip businesses and organizations with tools that better enable them to prepare and survive through upheavels such as pandemics. As such, this work serves the greater goal of improving the resiliency of businesses and societies as a whole.
