Dr. Julius Francis Gomes is a Postdoctoral Researcher and Project Manager at the University of Oulu – Oulu Business School, Martti Ahtisaari Institute. In addition to his research and project management responsibilities, Dr. Gomes is deeply passionate about teaching and actively contributes to academic activities.
Dr. Gomes completed his doctoral studies in August 2020 and brings over a decade of phenomenon-driven research experience. He has demonstrated strong leadership and coordination skills in managing large-scale co-innovation projects at both national and international levels. Over the years, he has been actively involved in initiatives such as the Horizon project (MIDAS), multiple Tekes (CyberTRUST), Business Finland projects (Wille, Stroke-Data, Icory, VitD3ACT), and ERDF projects (Covid-19 Rapid Diagnostic Testing from Infrared Spectroscopy, Nature Positive).
In his research, Dr. Gomes focuses on the dynamic and evolving nature of business ecosystems across various industries, which including digital health, telecommunications, sustainable business, and human and veterinary pharmaceuticals.
Beyond his research and project management roles, Dr. Gomes takes an active interest in teaching. Currently, he is responsible for three courses within the Business Analytics program at the Oulu Business School, catering to both bachelor’s and master’s level students.
