Kevin Lyons

I'm a doctoral researcher in the Water, Energy and Environmental Engineering Research Unit of the Faculty of Technology.

My background is largely in molecular microbiology (in particular, bacterial genetics and antimicrobial resistance). However, my current work is focused on studying the physicochemical and microbial properties of water produced by shallow groundwater wells used for potable water supply in northern Finland, and therefore encompasses knowledge of microbial ecology, bioinformatics, water microbiology, groundwater management, hydrogeology and hydrogeochemistry.
