Mojtaba Naghdyzadegan Jahromi

Mojtaba Naghdyzadegan Jahromi was born in Jahrom, Iran, in 1990. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Water Engineering from the Water Engineering Department of Shiraz University, Iran, in 2013 and 2016, respectively. He earned his Ph.D. in Agriculture-Water Engineering from Shiraz University in 2023, with a research focus on developing predictive models for crop yield using remote sensing, meteorological, and in-situ data.

Currently, Dr. Naghdyzadegan Jahromi is a postdoctoral researcher in the Hydrosystems Engineering & Management (HEM) research group at the Water, Energy, and Environmental Engineering (WE3) research unit at the University of Oulu, Finland. With a background in agronomy, remote sensing, and machine learning, his research interests span crop modeling and precision agriculture.

Previously, he has served as a postdoctoral researcher at Shiraz University, Iran, and was a visiting researcher at the Hydro-Climate Extremes Lab (H-CEL) at Ghent University, Belgium, and the Agronomy Division at Georg-August University of Göttingen, Germany.
