Doctoral Researcher
Research Unit of Health Sciences and Technology
Faculty of Medicine
I am a doctoral researcher in the Research Unit of Health Sciences and Technology, Faculty of Medicine, at the University of Oulu.
I am actively involved in the DigiImpact and Diagnostics of Osteoarthritis (DIOS) research groups, which conduct multidisciplinary and international research on novel Raman-based, reagent-free diagnostics for arthritic diseases. My doctoral research focuses on exploring and enhancing the understanding of Raman spectroscopy, a promising non-invasive diagnostic tool, and its potential role in the diagnostic pathway of osteoarthritis. I also aim to analyze the cost-benefit of Raman spectroscopy compared to conventional diagnostic methods.
Before joining the University of Oulu, I earned my master’s in public health at the University of Eastern Finland, with a major in epidemiology. Before that, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Dentistry and served in the Bangladesh Civil Service as an Assistant Dental Surgeon. These experiences have provided me with a solid foundation in clinical practice, public health, and biomedical diagnostics, all of which inform my current research endeavors.
