I am a doctoral researcher in the Research Unit of health Sciences and Technology and Research Unit of Biomedicine and Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Oulu.
I have versatile experience from varying fields of biomedical research including immunology, histolopathology and nanomedicine. My current research focuses on discovering nanomaterials that are less toxic, safe, economical, and suitable to be used to target inflammation and oxidative stress in joint diseases.
More specifically, my research interests include:
- factors that affect the immune system modulation and mechanisms by which such factors may affect the bone and joint health of an individual and susceptibility to inflammatory diseases
- antioxidant nanoparticles as a potential option to treat the inflammatory arthritis and proteases in regulating inflammation
Research interests
- Nanobiomedicine
- Inflammatory Arthritis
