I am currently an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Wireless Communications, University of Oulu (CWC-UOulu), Finland. I received my B.S. degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam, in 2014, and my M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Seoul National University of Science and Technology, South Korea, in 2017 and 2020, respectively. Since September 2020, I have been with CWC-Oulu, initially as a Postdoc. I advanced to the roles of Adjunct Professor (Docent) in 2023 and Academy Fellow in 2024.
I am passionate about using rigorous mathematical and machine learning tools to address fundamental problems in wireless communications and signal processing. I was awarded the Samsung Talented Scholarship (2014), Best M.S. and Ph.D. Dissertation Awards (2017 and 2020), Nokia Foundation Award - Jorma Ollila Grant (2022), the prestigious Research Council of Finland Fellowship, and three Best Paper Awards at IEEE SPWAC 2023, SSP 2023, and ATC 2021.
