Nina Kokkonen

I have received my MSc in Biochemistry and done my PhD in the field cancer cell biology. I am working as a researcher in the Dermatology research group. Currently my research focuses on biochemical and molecular biology of the autoimmune blistering skin disease, bullous pemphigoid. Our approaches include the experimental mouse model, patient materials and cellular models. The studies are part of the project aiming to resolve the predisposing factors and mechanisms of autoimmunization in bullous pemphigoid.
