Qifeng Shu is a professor in Process Metallurgy research unit at university of Oulu and acts as the leader of continuous casting and non-metallic inclusions group. He has published more than 80 journal publications and many conference papers. 10 Master's and 3 Doctoral students have graduated under his supervision. He has been PIs and co-PIs of several projects in the field of ferrous metallurgy. He conducts research in steelmaking and casting process and has good knowledge in thermodynamic, kinetic and physical properties of liquid metal, non-metallic inclusions and molten slag in high-temperature processes.
