Riikka Mononen (PhD, Docent of Education) works as a Professor of Special Education and as a Head of Research Unit Special and Inclusive Education (SPINE), leads research group Diversity in Education (DivE). She is also a member of the research collective MoLeWe, which brings together researchers interested in motivation, learning, and well-being of children and adolescents. Currently, Mononen leads a 4-year consortium project iFeelMath together with Åbo Akademi University, funded by the Research Council of Finland, and the eMotMath project funded by the Eudaimonia Institute.
