I am a doctoral researcher at the Research Unit of Health Sciences and Technology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Oulu, Finland. I graduated from the Faculty of Science with a degree in biophysics (18.6.2019).
From October 2021 to February 2023, I worked as a specializing medical physicist at the Mikkeli Central Hospital. Currently, I am continuing the residency period at Oulu University Hospital. The expertise from the hospital environment allows me to tie the research results into a clinical perspective.
My PhD thesis is focused on applying artificial intelligence -methods for laboratory- and clinical research on osteoarthritis imaging. Docent Jaakko Niinimäki, professor Simo Saarakkala and assistant professor Aleksei Tiulpin supervise the work. I defended my thesis on 8.12.2023.
