I work as an associate professor in the early childhood education at the TTEC research unit, Faculty of Education and Psychology. I focus my research on creative methods and environments for analysing and supporting childrens', pre-sevice's and inservice's teachers play, playfulness, engagement and collaboration. I supervise masters', doctoral and post-doctoral researchers, whose topics deal with teaching, learning, playing and understanding.
I have worked earlier in the same faculty in the LET hub leading and developing the international LET master's degree programme with my colleagues. My academic work history includes positions at the University of Lapland, recent being an associate professor in collaborative learning.
