I work as a university teacher and doctoral researcher at the Research Unit of Health Sciences and Technology at the University of Oulu. My research focuses on the effectiveness of immersive digital game interventions in pediatric diagnostic imaging. I am interested in the potential of technological solutions to improve the experience of children and their parents in healthcare and ways to reduce possible fear, anxiety, and pain related to examinations and procedures. I am particularly interested in how the individual needs of children and their parents can be better met by providing them with more personalized counselling and services in healthcare.
