Thushan Sivalingam is a doctoral researcher at the Centre for Wireless Communications, University of Oulu, Finland. His research interests include machine learning for PHY/RAN, massive machine-type communications (mMTC), and semantic communications. He received his B.Sc. (Hons.) degree specializing in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, in 2015 and a double degree M.Sc (tech.) in Wireless Communication from the University of Oulu, Finland, and the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 2019. He worked as Access Network Planning Engineer (Technology Strategy, Planning, and Development) at Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka, from 2015 to 2018.
