Timo received his Ph.D. degree in 2000 in physics from the University of Oulu, Finland. He has a wide experience in scientific research in space physics and has worked in satellite instrument and software development projects. From 2000 to 2001 he worked as a research scientist in the wireless communications group in VTT, Finland. Currently he is a doctoral researcher in Centre for Wireless Communications - Networks and System (CWC-NS), University of Oulu. His research interests include cognitive and autonomous wireless networks with special emphasis on security and defense areas.
