Zeynab Aalipour Hafshejani
Zeynab Aalipour Hafshejani is a PhD researcher in Physical Metallurgy at the University of Oulu. She received her Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Tehran, Iran, one of the top-ranked universities in the country.
Her research background includes thermomechanical processing of magnesium alloys and the use of diffraction-based techniques for microstructural characterization.
Her current research focuses on quenching and partitioning (Q&P) of high-strength steels and the development of new processing routes. She is particularly interested in medium-carbon steels, phase transformations, and the kinetics of bainitic transformation.
She utilizes advanced characterization techniques such as Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Electron Backscatter Diffraction–Transmission Kikuchi Diffraction (EBSD-TKD), High-Energy Synchrotron X-ray Diffraction (HE-Synchrotron XRD), and Atom Probe Tomography (APT).
Her research interests include:
- Phase transformations in steels
- Advanced characterization techniques
- Microstructure–property relationships
