I joined the University of Oulu as a doctoral researcher in January 2024, within the research project Linguistic Distance, Language Learning, and Educational Attainment. My PhD research within the project focuses on the processing of cognate words in multilingual children residing in Finland and Germany, with methodologies of lexical decision and eye-tracking. Before my PhD in Oulu, I graduated with a Research Master's in Linguistics (specializing in psycholinguistics) at Utrecht University and a Bachelor's in English (specializing in applied linguistics) at China University of Political Science and Law. Besides my academic focus in language sciences, I have broad personal interests, including queer theory, storytelling, philosophy, AI technology, cooking, cultures, and feminism.
