Career Centre

During walk-in hours, you can come to the Career Centre to ask questions related to your job search or career planning and to learn about our services. We offer support with your CV, cover letter, LinkedIn profile, job or internship search, using JobTeaser, and networking.

We serve University of Oulu bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral students, as well as OAMK students. Students are served in order of arrival, approx. 15 minutes per person. Please be prepared to show your student ID.

Note! Starting autumn 2025, walk-in hours are held on Mondays and Tuesdays from 11:00 to 14:00 in Career Centre (Room YT101).

Individual career guidance is a goal-oriented conversation with a career advisor during your studies. It always starts from your personal situation. In career guidance, you'll learn to recognize and express your strengths and receive tools to build your career. You'll have space to reflect on your future and plan the next steps of your career path.

Please note:
• We do not review your CV or job application during a career guidance session. For that, you can visit us during walk-in hours (see opening hours above).
Appointments for individual guidance are made via Microsoft Bookings (starting September 2025).

On the JobTeaser service, you will find job, internship, and thesis opportunities aimed at the students of the University of Oulu from all our fields of study. You can search and filter hundreds of career opportunities suitable for university students in Finland, as well as thousands of international positions across Europe. We publish new listings daily on JobTeaser.

JobTeaser also offers a range of resources to support your career planning, including CV tips, interview preparation, self-assessment tools, and insightful blogs about work life. You can also take tests to explore your motivations and preferences.

A start guide for JobTeaser

1.Setting up a JobTeaser profile

2. Go to JobTeaser website

Use a web browser, as the mobile app is no longer available. Make sure you are on the University of Oulu’s JobTeaser page. You can recognize the university page by the University of Oulu logo.

If needed, change the language at the bottom of the page.

3. Create an account using your oulu.fi email address

Select “University Account Login” and accept JobTeaser’s terms of use and privacy policy.

4. Select your settings

Choose your degree level, estimated graduation year, and field of study (i.e., the faculty where you study). This will help you receive job listings that suit you.

Set your job search criteria, but note that your field of study and the languages you select affect the listings you see. You can change these settings later on.

Almost done! You can now browse job opportunities on JobTeaser.

5. Finalize your account

Create a profile where you can add, for example, a brief introduction about yourself, your education, work experience, CV, and a profile picture.

If you wish, enable notifications for jobs and events.

• Which companies or organizations do I have a positive impression of?
