Change Leadership in the Finnish Media Sector
This study concentrates on the individual change capital in organizations. Continuous changes define special skills which everyone needs at work.
In the beginning of this study change skills are investigated through change leadership literature. Individual change capital has three classes: psychological capital, social capital and structural capital.
The case data 1 - eleven open interviews in Finnish media sector - is the main data of this study. Case Study 1 provides a lot of same kind of information than the former international studies in the field. In addition this empirical study provides a lot of new results to all three individual change capital classes. For example confronting uncertainty and incompleteness feelings and thoughts to psychological capital, reminding about the realities to social capital and marginal segments to the structural capital. The Case Study 2 strengthens the results in the Finnish media sector.
In this study the different change skills are shaped and described rich with the grounded theory method. In the end of this study it is also mentioned a couple of practical applications of the results.
