Dynamics of reversal of strategic change in emerging market
In a dynamic world, organizations deal with uncertainties and challenges in pursuing strategic change and revisiting prior strategies. Changes in organizations are often unpredictable and can be challenging to manage if employees or team members are resistant to them. The intricacy of strategic changes demands the involvement of all members in decision-making, recognizing that collective efforts drive success.
In light of these dynamics, many organizations encounter scenarios where planned changes must be reversed (a phenomenon known as the reversal of strategic change). My recent study delved into this concept, highlighting its vital role in ensuring firm survival amidst an ever-evolving business landscape. Specifically, I examined how managers effectively navigate the complexities of change reversal, especially in crises within emerging markets.
The findings underscore the critical role of change reversal in securing organizational survival in a rapidly changing environment. Swiftly reversing changes due to unexpected crises empowers firms to maintain stability, recalibrate strategies, and seize emerging opportunities. This study also highlights the pivotal manager-employee relationship in successful strategic changes. Collective efforts, not individual actions, drive effective change.
Concluding the dissertation, I explore managerial challenges in interpreting and responding to change reversal. Practical insights from the research guide organizations through the complexities, offering managers a path to navigate and implement this process effectively.
In essence, this research highlights the paramount importance of change reversal for organizational survival. It showcases effective navigation of challenges and emphasizes collaborative decision-making between managers and employees. This approach ultimately bolsters organizational resilience and success in the face of dynamic and uncertain business landscapes.
