Helena Tukiainen

I work as a university lecturer at the Geography Research Unit. My research focuses on geodiversity, geodiversity-biodiversity dynamics, nature conservation and sustainability issues. Methodologically, I am concentrated in quantitative approaches and spatial analysis. I am a member in the Working Group for Sustainability and Responsibility at the University of Oulu and the editor-in-chief of Nordia Geographical publications journal. My teaching at the Geography Degree Programme focuses in themes related to physical geography and sustainability.
