Dr Aleksi Räsänen will discuss how co-planning a land use change plan and collaboration between different actors can help reach environmental and social sustainability targets in a rural river basin, in this case in the Kiiminkijoki river catchment.
Dr Anna Suorsa will talk about how incorporating new scientific knowledge into decision-making processes requires focusing on developing new knowledge and information practices on many levels, to enable multidisciplinary collaboration. This is viewed especially in the context of developing urban planning that considers the connections between human wellbeing and environment.
The seminar will take place on Tuesday 10th of September from 11 am to 12 pm at Tellus Stage on Linnanmaa campus. Lunch will be provided for those who register by Thursday 5th of September at 12 pm. The seminar will be in English.
If you cannot make it to the Linnanmaa campus, you can also participate via Zoom. If you participate via Zoom, you don’t need to register for the event.
