Warmly welcome on the national day of Equality to come to hear visiting lecture by Professor Anna Wahl. The title of the lecture is “How to transform academia from within – gender mainstreaming and organizational change”.

Anna Wahl will introduce her research field “Gender and organization” followed by her experience from of working with gender mainstreaming at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. The lecture includes strategies for change, examples of implementation and concluding reflections about sustainable work for gender equality and diversity. Lecture is free and no registration needed.

Anna Wahl Professor (Chair) Gender, Organization and Management, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm. Current research interests are the gendering of management in different contexts, work for change and the impact of gender equality in organizations. She is part of the research program (2021-2027) Men in focus -exploring homosocial cultures and sexual harassment, an action-oriented project including studies in four sectors in Sweden; universities, fintech, construction and performing arts. She was Vice president for Gender equality and Values 2017-2022, where she was in head of implementing gender mainstreaming and organizational change at KTH.

Event is organized by the I4WORLD (Imaging and Characterisation for a Sustainable World) doctoral programme co-funded by the European Union.

This lecture is also an official part of the University of Oulu's Equality week, that celebrates the diversity of our University community.
