Festival of Cultures: Registration for Culture Teams now open!
The Festival of Cultures' vibrant event program, designed by our very own students and staff – the culture teams – is a celebration of cultures found within our university community.
All cultures are welcome! Think of culture in a broad sense: for example, the culture of a
- region,
- ethnic community,
- hobby group,
- linguistic minority,
- or/and a fusion of many cultures and viewpoints!
Interested in joining, but confused about how?
We will hold an open info session for everyone interested in the event on Monday 14.10.2024 at 4 pm at Tellus Stage, Linnanmaa. Come by and hear, what’s in store in November for the festival!
You can also pop by and meet us in the main lobby of Linnanmaa campus on Thursday 26.9.2024 - we are there as part of the European Day of Languages activities!
In the info session, we will explain the role of culture teams as well as go over the event concept in general. The info session is open to all – no registration needed. Attending the info session does not bind you into participating in the event.
Registration for culture teams is open until 25.10.2024.
Registering is open on Webropol. Please read the information on the registration form carefully while registering.
Whether you're interested in hosting interactive workshops, showcasing musical performances, or dance shows, there's a place for everyone, from any culture!
The Festival of Cultures is open to everyone from the Oulu area, but each registered culture team must include students or staff from the University of Oulu or Oamk. The whole event program will be held in English.
