The Finnish Student Health Service FSHS services are at your disposal after enrollment
higher education institution when you have registered as an attending student for the current semester.
We recommend that you familiarize yourself with our Self online service and start using Self right at the start of your studies. In Self you can, for example, update your contact information, manage health-related matters easily with service forms, use chat services and manage your appointments.
During the first semester, you will receive an invitation to the HealthStart questionnaire if you are studying towards your first degree at an institution of higher education. After completing the health questionnaire you’ll receive an assessment on the state of your health, and you may be referred to our services if necessary.
The healthcare fee for students in higher education that students pay to Kela on their own initiative covers all FSHS services. We at the FSHS do not charge fees for appointments. Please note that some international degree students have been given different instructions regarding the healthcare fee. Always check the up-to-date instructions on Kela´s website.
