More than a hundred proposals for new board members

The terms of office of the four external members of the board of the University of Oulu will end at the end of 2023 at the latest. The university collegium appoints new members from outside the university community for the term ending on 31 December 2025.

The university collegium asked the university community to propose board members from outside the university community, i.e. persons who are not university personnel or students. The survey was open until February 26. A total of 107 proposals were received.

The chair of the collegium, Helka-Liisa Hentilä, states:

"Thank you to the university community for the high-quality and versatile proposals. The collegium will use them when making choices."

During the spring, the collegium interviews top candidates before making selection decisions.
